A Cracking Chairman's end of season Match

The Chairman's traditional end of season match was held on Saturday and what a fantastic match it was. Those watching enjoyed over 520 runs being scored, with six 50's, 15 wickets being taken and a match played in the best possible spirit and with beautiful sunny weather. All 22 players contributed in the match.and the result was in doubt right up until the last ball of the match with Rich Robey striking a single, off a fast bowl in what were tough batting conditions. So the "old uns" won by one run, but the "young uns" pushed them all the way and there is always next year for a chance for them to put the record straight. We can all look forward to the sequel of Old Uns vs Young Uns 2!!!!!

Volunteer Recruitment

Our club is only as good as the volunteers and helpers who give up their time to put so much into what we do. We are always looking for more volunteers and helpers to undertake a variety of roles, including, junior team managers, coaches, scorers, general helpers, catering for match teas and grounds work, we are also looking for someone to take on a massively important role of leading our fundraising activities (sponsorship, advertising etc).
