U17's win the Fred Lowe Cup

The U17's beat Lichfield CC to win the Fred Lowe cup at Alrewas. It was a fantastic and complete performance by the whole team, batting, bowling and fielding. There were some notable highlights worthy of mention with the swift and smooth bowling of Kabeer Imtiaz (2-21), the pinpoint accuracy of Georgie (GPS) Harrison (2-12), Matt (Tweaker) Arnold (2-19)  and not forgetting an amazing boundary catch by Harry (Safe Hands) Stone. The batting started with a solid opening partnership and when Kieronpal Dorkar (41) joined Sam (the Shot) Bates (35no),  we were treated to some classy, and sometimes, brutal batting. It was a performance that the players, and HCC, should be proud of.....Well Done!!!!! We must also pay tribute to Alrewas CC for their hosting of the match which gave us all such a great night and thanks to all the Hilton CC supporters for cheering the team on, the players really appreciated you all!

Keeping the Games Playing

We are delighted to have received grant support from the ECB (actively supported by the DCB) and the East Midlands Airport Community Fund to support our plans to enhance the clubs facilities to keep our cricket matches playing, despite what the weather may throw at us. The funding we received enabled us to purchase a set of brand new, and very portable, covers along with a new Bow Dry Machine to mop up surface water on the pitch. A massive thank you to all 3 organisations and we really do appreciate their ongoing support.
